One of the greatest strengths in business — and in life — is the ability to connect with people.

At P & F Treasures and More, networking, relationship-building, and creating connections within the vintage, consignment, and small business community has always been something we genuinely enjoy.

We love meeting fellow vendors, collectors, shop owners, estate sale organizers, creatives, and people who are passionate about what they do.

Over the years, we’ve learned that collaboration and strategic alliances can be incredibly valuable. Some of the best opportunities, ideas, conversations, and lessons come from simply talking with others, sharing experiences, and supporting one another.

Some of the most meaningful conversations we’ve had have come from pioneers of this business — elderly collectors, longtime vendors, antique lovers, and people who have spent decades learning the art of reinvention, collecting, storytelling, and survival.

Listening to their experiences, wisdom, and life lessons has taught us that this journey is about far more than simply selling items. It’s about preserving memories, history, craftsmanship, and human connection.

But we’ve also learned something equally important:

Not everyone who watches your journey is rooting for your success.

In previous locations, we often experimented with new ideas, displays, categories, and concepts that helped our space stand out. Sometimes we introduced vintage electronics, gaming systems, curated themes, or blended collections in ways that felt different and unique to us.

And many times, shortly after trying something new, we would begin seeing similar ideas appear around us.

At first, experiences like that can feel frustrating. But over time, we realized something important:

Ideas can be copied. Vision cannot.

What truly makes a business special is not just the products being sold. It’s the personality, creativity, atmosphere, storytelling, consistency, and passion behind it.

That realization helped shape how we approach P & F Treasures and More today.

We believe in constantly evolving, reinventing, and combining different worlds together, and pieces that simply make people smile.

Because originality comes from who you are, not from trying to imitate someone else.

Networking has also taught us another valuable lesson: protect your inner circle.

You can absolutely support others, encourage collaboration, share ideas, and build meaningful relationships while still being mindful of your boundaries, your energy, and your vision.

Not every relationship needs full access to your strategy, sourcing, creativity, or future plans.

Some people genuinely want to see you succeed. Some people are inspired by your creativity .And others may simply watch closely hoping to replicate what you’re building.

That’s why balance matters.

We believe in staying positive, continuing to grow, helping others when possible, and building respectful relationships. But we also believe in trusting your instincts, protecting what makes your brand unique, and continuing to move forward creatively.

We’ve also learned that sometimes the loudest support doesn’t come from the people who have known you the longest. Often, it comes from complete strangers who simply respect hard work, creativity, and perseverance.

And to the quiet onlookers who continue to watch from the sidelines — you know who you are — we hope our journey reminds you that building something meaningful takes far more than simply observing it. It takes sacrifice, consistency, vision, reinvention, long hours, setbacks, and heart.

At the end of the day, success is not about copying what someone else is doing.

It’s about discovering what makes you different and building something authentic around it.

For us, P & F Treasures and More has never been about following trends or fitting into one category. It has always been about reinvention, creativity, atmosphere, storytelling, and creating a space that reflects who we are.

Stay kind. Stay creative. Keep evolving. Support others. But never lose your own identity trying to fit into someone else’s world.

Because the businesses people remember most are the ones built with originality, passion, and heart.
