Chloe and Friends: Finding Healing After Pet Loss

Yesterday marked what would have been Chloe’s first birthday in Heaven, and today it’s been seven months since I said goodbye to my little best friend. Chloe wasn’t just a toy Chihuahua—she was family. She was strength. She was comfort. She was love wrapped in four tiny paws.

Together, we fought every day as she bravely recovered from a stroke. She stood by me in my toughest moments, offering more support and loyalty than words can express. Losing her left a hole in my heart—but I find comfort in my faith, believing all dogs go to Heaven, where they watch over us with wagging tails and loving eyes.

This post is the first of many in a new segment I call “Chloe and Friends.” It’s a space for pet lovers, a space for healing, and a space to remember the unconditional love our companions gave us.

My journey with dogs began long before Chloe—with Paco, my first pup, and eight more precious dogs who each left their mark on my soul. That love even inspired my former grooming business, Bark Avenue, and today, dogs remain a huge part of P&F Treasures and More.

If you’ve ever loved and lost a pet, you are not alone. “Chloe and Friends” is here to honor those memories and share stories of healing. I hope this becomes a place of community and comfort for others, just like Chloe was for me.

With love and remembrance,

Sandra
