Consignment Boutique vs. Thrift Store: What’s the Difference?

At P & F Treasures and More, we believe it’s important to educate shoppers about what they are supporting when they shop small.

A thrift store is often built around donated goods. Many thrift stores support important charitable missions and can be a wonderful resource for the community. However, thrift stores are often donation-based, usually focused on lower-cost goods, and may have less curated inventory.

A consignment boutique works differently.

At a consignment boutique, items are carefully selected, curated, priced, displayed, and sold with intention. Many pieces come from local consignors, families, collectors, small vendors, and individuals who are giving their treasures a second life.

When an item sells, the consignor earns a portion, and the small business earns a portion. That means your purchase helps support local people, small business, sustainable shopping, and a more personal shopping experience.

At P & F Treasures and More, every piece is selected with care for style, quality, condition, and charm. We are not your typical thrift store — we are a curated consignment and vintage boutique filled with unique finds, designer pieces, home décor, jewelry, gifts, collectibles, and specialty treasures.

And when items do not fit our curated store, we work with Catholic Charities to help ensure those items can still serve a purpose and support people in need.

When you shop with us, you are supporting:

✓ Local consignors✓ Small business✓ Sustainable shopping✓ Unique, hand-selected finds✓ Treasures with a story✓ Community giving

Thank you for supporting small business, shopping local, and giving treasures a new beginning.

Gracias por apoyar a los pequeños negocios y darle una nueva vida a cada tesoro.
