The Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 is a classic standard prime lens from Canon’s manual-focus FD system. Canon introduced the FD 50mm f/1.8 family in the early 1970s for cameras such as the Canon F-1 and FTb. Its 50mm focal length provides a natural field of view on 35mm film cameras, while the bright f/1.8 maximum aperture makes it useful for portraits, everyday photography, and lower-light situations.
This example features the classic silver Canon FD breech-lock mounting ring associated with early FD lenses.
The lens has not been functionally or optically tested. We have not tested focusing operation, aperture operation, mounting function, or image quality.
