The Nikon N4004 was introduced in 1987 and was one of Nikon’s early consumer autofocus 35mm SLR cameras. The same basic model was sold internationally as the Nikon F-401, while the N4004 designation was used in the United States.

The N4004 uses Nikon’s long-running F-mount lens system and represents an interesting transitional period between traditional manual-focus Nikon SLRs and the company’s later autofocus film cameras.

This listing is for the camera body only. No lens is included.

The rear door has been opened for photographs so buyers can view the film chamber and interior condition.

This camera has not been functionally tested. We have not tested the shutter, autofocus system, electronics, exposure meter, built-in flash, film advance, rewind mechanism, battery compartment, light seals, exposure accuracy, or other controls.

The camera shows visible cosmetic wear consistent with age and previous use, including surface marks, scuffs, finish wear and aging around the body and interior areas. Please review all photographs carefully for exact cosmetic condition.

SOLD AS-IS / UNTESTED. Functionality is not guaranteed.

A great piece for a Nikon collector, vintage film photography enthusiast, restoration project, parts camera, photography display, or someone interested in Nikon’s early autofocus era.
