Beautiful vintage Japanese-style jewelry box finished in glossy black lacquer with colorful hand-painted landscape scenes featuring Mount Fuji, pagodas, trees, water and birds.

This unusual expandable vanity box opens to reveal multiple side compartments, drawers, a central storage area, two small lidded sections with tassel pulls, and a mirror inside the top lid.
